On the November 18 broadcast of MBC Radio FM4U’s “Kim Eana’s Starry Night” (commonly known as “Starry Night”), GD (G-Dragon, real name Kwon Ji-yong) appeared as a guest.
This marked G-Dragon’s return to radio after 12 years, in celebration of his solo comeback.
Kim Eana introduced GD, “This person really came to ‘Starry Night’.” Feeling a bit self-conscious, GD commented, “There are so many people here.” Wearing a scarf, he put on headphones and joked “I already can’t hear anything”, making everyone laugh. Kim Eana, who also showed up wearing a scarf, playfully said, “At 2NE1’s concert, a foreign fan mistook me for GD. What an honor.” GD chuckled and replied, “It feels like we’re in the middle of a desert, talking while riding camels.”
Kim Eana again emphasized “This person is really here on ‘Starry Night’” and revealed how their meeting came to happen. She shared, “I’ve been a fan of BIGBANG since their early days, and it seems GD knows about my fangirling.” GD responded, “I don’t think of it as fangirling.” Kim Eana continued, “I met GD in a private setting, and I was so nervous. We met at YG, and when the mood felt right, I nervously made my request. He readily agreed to appear, timing it perfectly with his album release.”
They also discussed GD’s new song “Power”. Kim Eana commented, “It’s always amazing, but this time, it was surprising in a completely different way. I feel like album sales numbers don’t even matter anymore. I loved the vibe of ‘Cheeky GD’.” GD, in turn, thanked her and joked, “So you like it when I’m cheeky?” He then danced a little, entertaining everyone.
